Driver CPC Module 4 Training and Test in Kent

Module 4 is the practical demonstration part of your Driver CPC. Our half-day session covers the training and the DVSA test in one visit at our DVSA-approved Kent centre. We book the test for you, so there is no separate search for availability.

What is Driver CPC Module 4?

Module 4 is the practical vehicle safety demonstration. An examiner asks you to show that you can load a vehicle safely, prevent trafficking, carry out walkaround safety checks and deal with emergencies. It is one of four parts of the initial Driver CPC qualification, and it is the one most drivers leave until last.

What does it cost?

£235 for the course. Call 01795 667 008 to confirm the current DVSA test fee, which is paid separately.

How long does it take?

Half a day. Training and test happen in the same session, so you are not making two trips.

Has Driver CPC been scrapped?

No. Driver CPC was reformed on 3 December 2024, not abolished. The reform created two routes, National Driver CPC for UK-only work and International Driver CPC for cross-border work, and allowed National periodic training to be taken in shorter blocks. The requirement to complete 35 hours of periodic training every five years has not changed, and you still need a valid Driver Qualification Card to drive professionally.

Is this the right course for me?

This is for you if you already hold an LGV or PCV licence but have not completed your initial Driver CPC. Together with the Part 2 case studies test, Module 4 grants your first five years of Driver CPC entitlement. It is a common route for experienced drivers returning to work, changing roles, or needing the qualification for a new employer.

You will be fully prepared for the demonstration before the examiner arrives. Everything the test covers is included.
