HGV Training in Faversham

Family-run since 2011. Kent's biggest HGV school.

One-to-one Class 1, Class 2, C1 and PCV training for Faversham learners, about 8 miles up the road at our Sittingbourne centre, with your test at the Gillingham DVSA centre.

HGV training for Faversham

Faversham's nearest one-to-one HGV school.

Learn2Pass trains Faversham learners at our own centre at Sittingbourne Logistics Park, about 8 miles along the A2, or the M2 and A249, from the town. That is usually around 20 minutes in the car outside rush hour. Every lesson is one-to-one in our own full-size DAF and Scania trucks, coaches and minibuses, with a DVSA-approved instructor beside you, and your practical test is at the Gillingham DVSA test centre. We are family-run, we have trained drivers in Kent since 2011, and we help with every step from the D4 medical and provisional licence to the theory tests and test day.

Our centre is on Swale Way at Sittingbourne Logistics Park, about 8 miles from Faversham. Head west on the A2 through Ospringe and Teynham, or take the M2 to junction 5 and the A249 north. There is free parking on site.

  • Training days that fit around work

Training days usually start at 6am or 10am and run for around four hours of one-to-one driving, so you are home by the afternoon. We book the days around your shifts and family.

  • One price, all in

Licence course prices include VAT and both DVSA tests, with a Price Match Guarantee behind every course. If you would rather spread the cost, Snap Finance is available, subject to status.

  • Work around Faversham

Swale has a busy mix of driving work: fruit and produce haulage from the farms around Faversham, food and drink distribution, and the large industrial sites at Eurolink and Ridham. Once you pass, we introduce you to employers across Kent.

  • Help with the paperwork

The D4 medical, the D2 provisional application and the theory and hazard perception tests trip a lot of people up. We explain each one, help you book them in the right order and keep you moving towards your training dates.

  • One learner, one instructor, one truck

You will not share the cab or wait your turn. Your instructor teaches you one-to-one from your first drive to test day, on the routes the Gillingham examiners use.

How our Faversham HGV training works

Call us or send a message and we will check which licence suits the work you want, then confirm your all-in price. We help you through the D4 medical, provisional entitlement and theory tests. When those are done, your one-to-one training runs over consecutive days from our Sittingbourne centre, finishing with your practical test at Gillingham. From Faversham the drive in takes around 20 minutes.

Where do Faversham learners train with Learn2Pass?

At our training centre at Sittingbourne Logistics Park on Swale Way, ME10 2FF. It is about 8 miles from Faversham, along the A2 through Teynham or via the M2 and the A249, and usually takes around 20 minutes outside rush hour. There is free parking on site.

Where will I take my HGV test?

At the Gillingham DVSA test centre, which is Kent's lorry and bus test centre. You take the test in one of our vehicles, and we train you on the roads around the test centre beforehand so the route is familiar on the day.

What time do training days start?

Usually at 6am or 10am, with around four hours of one-to-one driving each day. Your exact start time comes with your booking confirmation, and we plan the days around your work where we can.

Which licence suits farm and produce haulage around Faversham?

Most local farm, produce and distribution work runs on rigid lorries, which need Class 2 (Category C). Trunking and longer-distance work usually needs Class 1 (Category C+E), and smaller box vans up to 7.5 tonnes need C1. Tell us the work you are after and we will point you to the right licence rather than the biggest one.

How long will it take me to get my licence?

The practical training takes days rather than months: five days for Class 2, eight days from a car licence to Class 1 and three days for C1. Before that you need the D4 medical, provisional entitlement and your theory tests, and we help with each one.

Can I spread the cost?

Yes. You can spread the cost with Snap Finance, subject to status. Checking your eligibility does not commit you to booking, and we will talk you through it before you decide.
