HGV Training in Medway

At our centre on Swale Way at Sittingbourne Logistics Park, which is a straight run out along the A2 or M2 from Chatham, Gillingham, Rochester and Strood. Your practical test is taken at the Gillingham DVSA test centre, so you are back on home ground for the test itself and we train you on those routes beforehand.

Class 2 (Category C) rigid lorry, Class 1 (Category C+E) articulated, C1 7.5 tonne for ambulance, NHS and courier work, PCV bus and coach (D1 and D), and Driver CPC modules. We will talk through which route fits the work you actually want rather than pushing you at the biggest licence.

Practical training is usually 5 to 10 days depending on the licence and your starting experience. Counting the D4 medical, provisional entitlement, theory and hazard perception tests, CPC modules and the practical exam, most people are looking at around 6 to 8 weeks from first enquiry to licence.

Yes. A D4 medical is required before DVLA will add provisional lorry or bus entitlement to your licence. It covers eyesight, blood pressure, general health and any conditions that affect driving. We arrange it for you and guide you through the D2 application form, which is the step most people find fiddly.

Yes. We work with Snap Finance so eligible learners can pay monthly, subject to status and credit checks. We will set out what is available for your chosen licence before you commit to anything.
